This is our second day in the Ngorongoro Crater. We’ve seen plenty of the natural wildlife including lions, zebras, wildebeest, elephants and hyena. A rare sighting, a spotted Leopard, was found this morning in an area of the crater floor known as “the forest” .
To get the ball rolling for our Zoo Miami safari tour of eastern Africa, here are a few creative yet authentic collective nouns used to describe the animals we will be seeing in the bush.
An implausibility of wildebeest
an obstinacy of buffalo,
a parade of elephants
a journey of giraffes
a business of mongooses
a leap of leopards
a dazzle of zebras
a crash of rhinos
The southern most point of Africa.
